Another busy week with an Pupdate, a Moon Jars, spherical lidded boxes, a unique pencil storage box, club signs, CNC hybrid bowls, natural edge bowls and a whole lot more besides!! Read on for more:
Andrew Hall returned from his travels (temporarily!!) and gave us all a much needed Pupdate on Roman....not so little now at 8 months old and shaping up to be a fine looking boy!!
Burnsy had a break from the ongoing Christmas preparation to get back to making Moon Jars, two decent sized ones this time plus a little one with some purple glitter added by request !!
Gary Lowe sent in some photos of some more boxes with spherical lids, this time sloped and flat. Gary is thinking about giving a sphere jig a whirl or trying some fancy maths to make spheres...those one's look good to everyone.
Kevin Purdy sent in some photos of a very clever bit of storage for pencils. This one got a lot of comments and questions, something tells me that there will be a few of these making appearances this Christmas!!
Neil Farnham sent in a range of photos for this session. We got a look at the HWC sign from last time which has had some colour added to finish it off - very nice it is too!! We also got a look a bowl with some colour added to the outside and a bowl which had begun it's journey on the CNC router prior to being finished off on the lathe, some really interesting ideas and possibilities here!!
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of his work in progress (still putting us all to shame!!) including a fairly substantial natural edge bowl (all fingers still present and working) and some shots of the shop made cole jaws Patrick uses for reversing some of his large work pieces.
