Right then, for last weeks session we had Mr Carroll in charge whilst I went off to help out with an IRD. It seems that the usual crowd all came along and gave Mr Carroll a suitably hard time....though I'm sure he can handle it.

We mustn't be too scary because Arun came back, I have some photo's from Arun for this Monday ..... but you will need to come along on Monday to see those (see what I did there)!

Anyway, here is the run down from the session and don't worry it's back to what passes for normal this week!

Jay Heryet: Woodturning

Jay Heryet sent over some photos showing not only the yellow roller skate but all of the lovely bits of wood scored from Mr Irons. It looks like Jay hasn't bothered much with sleep since picking up the timber. The timber has been prepped and some of it part turned so we should be seeing loads of photos of finished pieces in the not too distant future!

Kevin Purdy: WoodturningKevin Purdy sent over some photos of a rolling pin he made after seeing an article in a magazine. The centre section rotates independently of the handles...all far too clever for me but a really nice piece!

Martin Stacey: WoodturningMartin Stacey carried on the theme of wasps from last week with a video of one of the little blighters building a nest. The offender was encouraged to leave but did attempt to return, it was however discouraged from doing so. Apparently from the discussions Gary is going to tell us all about wasps next week...fascinating!

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay sent over some photos of a bowl blank being cored and some his splendid orchids. The orchids are really superb and it goes to show you don't have to send in photos of woodturning, just send in photos of what you are currently making or working on.

Richard Dickson: WoodturningRichard Dickson sent over some photos of some hollow forms he has been working on. In this case some colour has been applied to the pieces to enhance them and bring out the grain pattern. Very nice!

Robert Lyons: WoodturningRobert Lyons sent over some photos of some vessels with lids and finials, hopefully these will be the first of many!

As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!

DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!

Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.

Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all,  keep on sharing!
